Split Airport

Split Airport, also known as Resnik Airport (Zračna luka Resnik), is the international airport serving the city of Split, Croatia. It is located 19 km (12 mi) from Split, on the west side of Kaštela Bay, in the town of Kaštela, and extending into the adjacent town of Trogir.

In 2018 the Split airport was the second busiest in Croatia after Zagreb Airport and one of the busiest airports in the region handling around 3.12 million passengers. It is a major destination for leisure flights during the European summer holiday season and an important focus city for Croatia Airlines that offers flights to European cities such as Frankfurt, London and Paris.

Getting to and from Split Airport

There are frequent bus services (shuttle service) that depart just outside the main terminal building of Split Airport. These buses are connected with the main bus station in Split, which is next to the train station and the port. The travel time is 30 minutes, but it is important to know that the bus drivers from Split Airport may not leave until the bus is completely full. If you’re one of the first passengers on the bus, you could be waiting some time before the bus is full and the driver decides to leave.

There are also local bus services that can take you to Split. Keep in mind that local buses stop at the main road outside the Airport, not at the terminal. Bus ride with the local company from Split Airport to Split is about 50 minutes.
